Bushfire Relief

IMMEDIATE SMALL BUSINESS SUPPORT FOR BUSHFIRE AFFECTED COMMUNITIES.

The bushfires that have raged across Australia this summer have been devastating to many communities, causing distress and hardship, with many small business clients directly affected.

After a series of discussions and consultations, the Prime Minister announced measures that will be introduced to provide immediate relief to these small businesses and their staff.

These measures include:

• grant funding
• concessional loans up to $500,000
• tax relief
• dedicated and single contact points to help small business access the support that is available
• financial counselling services that are targeted to help small and family businesses deal with the emotional and financial challenges.

Financiers have also provided relief packages, which may be accessed where applicable.
